Lancaster County Tours Welcomes New Partners
Lancaster, PA - September 20, 2010 - Lancaster County Tours, LLC announces the addition of three new partnering bed and breakfasts to its team. Flowers & Thyme, the Australian Walkabout Inn and the Historic Smithton Inn bring with them a wealth of innkeeping experience, along with additional fine lodging options for guests.
For the past five years, Carl Kosko, chef and innkeeper of the Harvest Moon B&B, and Jan Garrabrandt, foodie and innkeeper of The Artist's Inn have partnered to offer unique tours that revolve around their true love: food.
"I am extremely pleased to have these outstanding new partners join our team", says Jan Garrabrandt. "They share both commitment to exceptional service and our passion for delivering memorable experiences to guests."
"Since its inception", adds Carl Kosko, "Lancaster County Tours has set the bar for back-roads Lancaster tours by focusing on unique culinary experiences that exceed guests' expectations. I am excited to be expanding our possibilities with the addition of these quality Inns and Innkeepers."
The team behind Lancaster County Tours believes that these exceptional culinary tours enhance their guest services. "These are small tours designed to give guests full access to experiential culinary tourism. Lancaster County Tours will immerse you into every aspect of the Pennsylvania Dutch countryside, to places you thought no longer existed," explains Jan Garrabrandt.
"Lancaster County Tours will introduce you to the artisans who have hand crafted their very own cheese, grew a variety of fresh herbs or have bottled their award winning "champagne". Guest will have the chance to meet the locals and discuss the age old traditions that are still being used today", adds Lynn Griffin, owner and new partner from the Australian Walkabout Inn in Lancaster.
"Participants explore the history, culture and natural beauty of Lancaster County and its agricultural heritage - a place unlike anywhere else on earth", says Carl Kosko.
Rebecca Gallagher new partner from the Historic Smithton Inn in Ephrata adds, "These are not your grandfather's tours. You'll get to know the "locals who don't give tours" (except to us). We've taken all the work out of the day for you - we'll even do the driving."
"What I find exciting about becoming a Lancaster County Tours partner," says Ruth Harnish of Flowers & Thyme B&B in Lancaster, "is that no two tours are ever the same. We delight in discovering new places to take guests. You don't need to travel to France for great wines, Germany for the best beers or Wisconsin for the finest cheeses. We have them all here, waitin gfor you to explore and enjoy.
